I have a camcorder, it says select video Quality.
the options are.

What's the best?

Also total newby. Need Camcorder for trip to Alaska this July, will be on 12 passenger boat in coves with glaciers. A. Cannons' VIXIA model what I see zoom range ='s telephoto, What does that mean? 1. need machine that operates below 0 degrees to above 100 degrees here in TX.. More research I do more confused I become. 2. Would like to make short movie(not a necessity).1. Intel Auto. with white balance, noise reduc. 2. At least 3" Screen. 3. Image Stabilizer. 4. What brand tripod? Large waterpoof case?, recommended cleaning kit? Reading your answers you wanted to know computer for firewall. Yes, I have Firewall. Model s5-115, HP-Pavillion, bought 12/11. From my reasearch I like the Sony, and Cannon. The Cannon replacements coming out in March, have 2 card slots with SDXC. 5. Will the CC lens be enuf or your best I need a machine telephoto lens adaptable.(have telephots's this site you recomm. saved). 6. Is High-Definition the best video? and is it retained when copying?
7. That Identity capability, not a necessity. 8. Main functions on screen change.
9. Auto shutter speed as I know nothing about, are there any auto lens discs/covers What are screen protectors used for?
10. What do you think about this 3D if you don't have a 3D TV? 11. 1080/60, How necessary, Does it cost a lot extra, a must have certain functions? 12. See some can take still photo while shooting video. 13. What is a step up ring,
This newbie with a wedding and a once in a lifetime trip thanks you in advance for any and all help provided.
