Audio out of sync with video

by gold_demon / January 15, 2006 8:08 PM PST

I have had a Winfast PVR tv tuner in my computer for the past two years, but in the last couple of months, when I record the TV using this program, the audio slowly drifts out of sync with the video. In response, I have updated my audio driver, the tv tuner program and reinstalled all my audio codecs, and put video as the master stream, but so far it has only got worse. I have read forums where they say the reason for the is possibly slow pc dropping out frames (I have a 3.06Ghz p4 and 1gig RAM, so that is not a problem) or the clocks on the video capture card and audio card being slightly out of sync (This could be the problem, but I do not know how to stop it)

Does anybody know how to fix this?

My technical info:
Processor: 3.06Ghz p4 with HT
Memory: 1gig
Graphics: 128meg ATI radeon integrated
Audio: SoundMAX 5.1 channel integrated audio
Video capture program: Winfast PVR vrsion 3,0,10,76

Thankyou
