Question

Aspire one and windows 8 screen resolution

by Flipper987654321 / December 29, 2012 6:36 PM PST

Hi

I have upgraded to windows 8, thought that was supposed to be simple!

Anyway, all is done now, I just can't change my resolution on my screen?

Is there any way I can change this as I would like to make the most of the screen (1366x768).

Many thanks

Did you install all the drivers Acer offers for Windows 8 and this machine?

Hi

I ran the windows update and checked the acer site and neither gave me a solution, unless I am missing something?

Windows Update would only check what microsoft knows about. Nothing has changed in over a decade in respect to drivers. I am still going to the maker's web site and getting the drivers.

Hi, I checked the manufacturers website, they don't have a updated driver

This laptop may not have been checked out on Windows 8. Try the Windows 7 drivers and hope.

I have tried the windows 7 driver, all is ok, except the tiles are fuzzy, it's annoying as it wasn't highlighted when I did the compatibility check. Thanks for your help so far by the way
