Anyone use Connected Backup/PC on a 2000 pc?

by floridageek / December 16, 2010 12:35 AM PST

We have used Connected Backup/PC on our 2000 pro laptops for some time now. The open file handler (PSM) works pretty well for us. We are considering using it on the 2000 server boxes. Anyone else use Connected on their 2000 machines?

As the ISP inposed upload and download limits and charges, the old style backup systems became cost effective again.

Did you use it on your 2000 PC's? or servers? or both. Wondering if those charges related to the server or your pc's.Also curious if you also used the open file provided.

As I noted.

We stopped it shortly after the ISP changes.

If the question is if IRON MOUNTAIN apps work or not, they do but you asking me is a sign you need to stop using their products if they won't answer simple queries like this.

Actually I am trying to get some real life views of the product, instead of listening to them. If you have some insights on how you used it, I would be a grateful listener.

It was installed, ran and then

The ISP changed the rules about use so we stopped using it. There's little more to this story. So back to the old school backups.

Sorry I thought the question was if the apps worked. They did but that's all I can offer.

Did you use the open file for your 2000 machines? And did that work for you?

Sorry if I was unclear.

We tried it for such a short time period that no deep details are available. It worked so that's all I can offer. The reasons were not about IR but about the limits the ISP put or monthly data use.

If Iron Mountain will not discuss your concerns then it's time to move on.
