sounded fine. For today's reality to intervene, my notion is that they were actually just okay because there were not all that many fine speakers around. Add a couple of dashes of truth that speakers in general have certainly gotten considerably better & the ol' Allieds' are probably just relics. By now the paper edges of the speakers would stand to be renewed. Give them a few minutes listen for old times' sake & let them go to the big speaker yard in the sky.
Does anyone know anything about Allied Radio Corp speakers 1968? These speakers are in heavy walnut veneer cabinets 27x20x14 with a 15" bass,a 10" horn, and a high frequency speaker. Are these too old or too large or not good enough to use in a home theater surround sound application with a Sony STR-DG920,Polk CS10, and two Polk T15's? I have photos if it would help.
