Adware Pro

by odannyboy1963 / January 8, 2010 9:38 AM PST

I downloaded Adware Pro with the understanding that they had a 7 day money back policy. I had problems with the software from the start and contacted them right away. For the next 6 days I tried to get the software to work with no success. When I asked for a refund they said that I had passed the 7 day refund period and that it was only a service they provided and not a right of the customer to get a refund. I strongly suggest that no one do business with them. They are quick to take your money, but refuse to give it back when their software doesn't work.

Hi,

You wrote: I downloaded Adware Pro

Do you mean:

Ad-Aware Pro 2010 from Lavasoft

http://anti-spyware-review.toptenreviews.com/ad-aware-se-pro-review.html

or did you download:

Ad-ware Pro ?

Ad-ware Pro is another corrupt anti-spyware parasite that looms large in the internet in search of unsuspecting users to scam. Its methods of infecting a computer usually consist of getting a trojan via security holes in your web browser, then downloading and installing Ad-ware Pro via the trojan parasite.

...with Firefox and I get a Warning all over the screen with:

"This site has a poor reputation ".

You would have been better of with Malwarebytes AntiMalware and\or SuperAntiSpyware.

Do not give them you credit card number, do not scan you computer with there free scan. Don't even log on to their website. The product is crap. They will tell you have all kinds of problems with your computer that aren't real. That is if the program works. They claim that it works with windows7 but it doesn't. Use the AVG software, it will show that the ad ware pro is a spyware program. I made this mistake and now I have to see if I can get my credit card to stop payment. The customer service for ad ware claims they only give refunds for software not received. Don't even look at this company
