Ad Aware Crashes - WinFixer is installed

by mirzahat / February 14, 2006 2:42 PM PST

Hello,
my father installed WinFixer2000 suddenly, this strange program when you surf this Autosurf pages. Everytime after that I run AdAware cleanup. But now, when I start AdAware, it creashes when it finds some items in the registy. What should I do to remove this virus?
I cannot run AdAware now to cleanup the harddisk after the autosuft sites.

Thanks in advance,
Mirza

try this repair

Tho it may not apply. WinFixer generally keeps showing pop-ups before this application is applied.

Performed clean reinstall on one system showing your issue. All other scanners where showing clean. This may be your only way of cleaning the system.

Luck
