Question

About stolen laptops??

Hello i want to know if there is any software for tracking laptops by serial number, it is stolen and it hadn't any operating system installed..

Apple and a few other companies check serial numbers when they show up for repair.

A member was very upset when Dell would not help them reset the passwords on a stolen laptop. So Dell uses software too for this.

Unless you installed something like Lojack on the L/T, pretty difficult to say unless you just get lucky.

if it being repaired they usually check with manufacturer so I've heard.
