Wearables have come a long way in recent years, and Apple Watches consistently rise to the top, with several models earning spots on CNET's roundup of our favorite smartwatches of 2023. The Apple Watch Series 9 may have just hit shelves in September, but it has already joined our list of favorites and scored a CNET Editors' Choice Award for this year. And with Black Friday just weeks away, now is a great time to snag one at a discount.

Right now, you can save $50 on a 41mm model with GPS and cellular capabilities, bringing the price to just $449 as part of Walmart's Black Friday sale, which officially kicked off on Nov. 8. This deal lasts until Nov. 14, but there's no guarantee it will stay in stock, so we recommend making your purchase sooner rather than later if you want to score one at this price.

This ninth-gen Apple Watch has a lot of great features that make it the best everyday Apple Watch out there, including a dust- and crack-resistant design, an S9 chip that supports faster performance as well as the recently added Double Tap gesture, plenty of exercise tracking capabilities and a temperature, blood oxygen and ECG sensor to help you stay informed about your health and wellness.

And because this model has LTE, once you connect it to a line of service you'll be able to send messages, take calls and more right from your wrist -- sans phone. That makes this model a particularly convenient investment. It's worth noting that the battery life for this smartwatch isn't as impressive as some of the Apple alternatives out there, but you should get about 18 hours of use per charge.
