Smart thermostats offer a convenient way of staying comfortable in your home and can even help you save money on your energy bill. They can be pretty pricey, however. If you're looking for an affordable smart thermostat, consider one of our favorites, Google's Nest Thermostat. Normally listing for $130, Amazon has slashed the cost by $30 for a limited time, bringing the price to just $100.

The Nest Thermostat is simple to install and gives you a ton of control over your thermostat that traditional models lack. You can adjust your thermostat through the Google Home app or the touch controls on the right side of the device (it doesn't have a touchscreen). That means you won't have to get up in the middle of the night to adjust your settings if you get too hot or too cold.

You can also create custom schedules in the app for when you're at home or away, which means you can cut down on costs by not running your system when no one is home. Plus, if it catches a heating or cooling system issue, the app will send you an alert. The thermostat has built-in temperature, humidity, motion and ambient light sensors and is compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, meaning you can use your voice to adjust your temperature, too.
