No Supreme Court ruling on P2P, cable modems
The Supreme Court held off ruling Monday on the closely watched Grokster file-swapping case, pushing the decision to later in the month. Under the court's current schedule, the ruling could come on Thursday, or next Monday. In years past, the Court has also added an extra day if it is pressed for time, and some observers expect the justices to do so this year.
The court also put off ruling on the Brand X cable Internet case, another important technology case.
