Nexus 7 tablet guidebook now available
Google's guidebook reveals all the details behind the new Nexus 7 tablet and spills the beans on the new Jelly Bean OS.

The guidebook is available for Android, IOS, and PC users via Google Play.
Essentially an early version of the manual for the new tablet, the guidebook is geared more for people who already own the Nexus 7. But those of you thinking of buying the tablet when it debuts in mid-July can learn a lot about its operation and its use of Android 4.1. The document covers just about everything you need to know, from setting up and optimizing the tablet to using its apps to connecting to networks and other devices.
Android device owners can easily download and read the document directly through the Google Play Books app.
iPhone and iPad users have an additional hoop to jump through.
Google suggests that iOS users surf to http://books.google.com/ebooks via mobile Safari where they're supposed to search for Nexus 7 guidebook. But when I searched for the book at that site on my iPhone, no results popped up for that title. I had better luck at http://play.google.com/store where I was able to search for and download the guidebook. From there, I could read the book in the Google Play Books app on my iPhone.
And PC users can simply read the book online. The obviously scanned pages appear small by default since they're designed for a tablet. But zooming into your browser makes the text larger and more readable.
The Nexus 7 tablet starts shipping in another two to three weeks, but eager buyers can pre-order it now at the Google Play Web site.
