Virgin Mary grilled cheese Looking for a miracle? You may be in luck. A Florida woman is selling what she claims is a miraculous sandwich, and apparently, it's just what some spiritual bidders are craving.

The sandwich, a 10-year-old grilled cheese (on white), appears to bear the likeness of the Virgin Mary on one piece of bread. The owner of the sandwich, Diana Duyser, claims that she made the sandwich 10 years ago, took a bite out of it, and then noticed a face peering back at her from the top slice of bread.

As if that wasn't enough to make the eBay bids start flying, Duyser claims that the sandwich is blessed and that she has won $70,000 at local casinos since it came into her life. How can she be sure? According to her, it hasn't molded or deteriorated at all. Of course, this might have more to do with the fact that she made the sandwich with preservative-heavy white bread and American cheese.

But selling the sandwich hasn't been easy. According to the Associated Press, Duyser posted the item on eBay last week, only to see it pulled by the auction site, which cited its policy of canceling "listings that are intended as jokes." Apparently, Duyser convinced the company that she is quite serious about the sandwich being a religious artifact; her posting returned to the site Monday. Bidding, which had reached $22,000 when posted the first time, is now at more than $17,000 and is quickly climbing.

Hoax or not, the posting has received much attention and has inspired several other related postings, such as a "make your own" Virgin Mary grilled-cheese kit and a "Virgin Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen" in grilled cheese.
