Feedburner problems resolved

by Tom Merritt
UPDATE: Still not sure why it happened but the feeds all seem to be working now. So thanks to whoever ot whatever fixed it. All seems back to normal. Hey all, just an update to let you know why you may have trouble getting any CNET podcasts in iTunes or other podcatchers right now. It seems that Feedburner (a Google property) has just up and stopped reading our feeds. It claims the feeds are timing out, but when we pull up the source, everything seems fine. We don't know why Feedburner is having this problem, and are certainly examining our end to see if it's anything we did, but so far all our evidence says it's a problem on Feedburner's end.

I'd love to say that Feedburner is working with us to correct the problem, except as of now they aren't. We had to resort to Twitter where DOGboi found us a two-year-old email address, but it seems rather difficult to contact them. So if you or anyone you know works for Feedburner, give us a shout won't you? buzz at cnet dot com would be the best address.

Meanwhile we're doing our best to solve the issue and get the feeds working. The episodes will post as usual here on the blog and stream live at cnet.com/live

Vote for Buzz Out Loud at SXSW 2010

Buzz Out Loud is aiming to head back to Austin, Texas, in March 2010 for the SXSW Interactive conference, and we need your help.

SXSW just launched its "panel picker," where the public is invited to vote (yes or no) on different panel ideas, as well as weigh in with comments.

Our Buzz Out Loud podcast is one of the panels up for your consideration. So head to the panel picker at panelpicker.sxsw.com, and search for Buzz Out Loud, or go right to this link to vote.

Of course while you're there, you can vote and comment on tons of other cool ideas for SXSW panels. And you should. There are some great proposals.

Even if you don't think you can make it to Austin in March, we'd still very much appreciate you telling the SXSW organizers you support us. Unless you hate us. In which case there's totally not a panel picker or anything. This was all a ruse.

Ask U.S. Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra a question on Buzz Out Loud

by Tom Merritt

We're very pleased to have federal CTO Aneesh Chopra joining us on Buzz Out Loud this Tuesday. We'll start our live show a half hour early--1 p.m. ET, 10 a.m. PT--with a half-hour talk with Mr. Chopra.

We'll ask him a bunch of the obvious stuff, like what does the CTO do? We'll talk about Net Neutrality, open source, etc. But what do you want to ask him?

Post your questions in the comments below. We'll choose a selection of them for the show.

Co-Host Buzz Out Loud

by Tom Merritt
All right folks, as part of our year-end episodes, we're going to do one where we "co-host" with a handful of BuzzTown citizens.

Let me just say straight up, not everybody will be able to be on. There's just not enough time.

Here's what you have to do to be considered:

Be available by a phone on Wednesday December 12 at one of these times.

11A-12P Pacific (7P-8P GMT)

3P-4P Pacific (11P-12A GMT)

Then send us an email to buzz@cnet.com with your phone number and what times (or both) you'll be available.

We will call only a few people at these times, so please don't be disappointed if we don't get to you.

We have a mandatory meeting at our usual recording time, so we won't be able to record until 12. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will discuss the Gamespot story today.
