First Look: Hands-on with the Lenovo Y70 Touch1:23 /
A new big-screen slim gaming laptop with touch.
[MUSIC] I'm Dan Ackerman here, taking a look at a bigger version of one of everybody's favorite laptops these days, I'm talking about the Lenovo Y50, that's a 15 inch gaming laptop, very smart looking. This is the Y70 and it has all the features we like about the Y50 in that it is a gaming oriented laptop, you can get current gen in video graphics with it. Plus a 1080p screen that is a touch screen, I don't think I've seen a full 17 inch gaming laptop with Nvidia graphics and a touch screen before. And of course, you know, regular 1080p resolution, it's still got the, backlit red keyboard that we liked from the Y50 a lot. It doesn't do multiple colors like some other gaming laptops. But I like that the light comes up through the actual key shafts themselves, and it's actually kind of a cool striking look without being, you know, too dorm roomish. You know, sound, even on big laptops never really that awesome. At least you've got a sub-woofer here so that should help out a bit. And, of course, the regular speakers here that carry over kind of that red theme. And if you look at the back, it looks kinda like a big version of the Y50. So you have kind of the brushed metal look. A little bit angular. But not quite that Alienware level of kind of, like, you know, a preteen, flashy laptop. That's no alien heads here. But this guy should have the latest gen in video graphics. Core i7. It's going to be out later this year starting at $1299. I'm Dan Aykman That's the Lenovo Y70.
