When it comes to board games there are two types of people in this world: Scrabble people and Monopoly people. Maybe it's a left-brain vs. right-brain question. This is not to say that there aren't loads of other great board games to play, and let's be honest, who doesn't love Mouse Trap?
But if you're reading this review we're going to assume you are a Monopoly person, and if this is true then you're in for a treat. Monopoly Here and Now: The World Edition for the iPhone is about as close as you can come to playing Monopoly without the risk of losing the plastic top hat marker or a bunch of the green houses.
The game plays exactly like a real-life game of Monopoly. Players choose a marker (we chose a silver soccer ball), and try to buy as much property as possible as they move around the board. The game moves quickly and the 3D graphics render well and without lag.
Players take turns rolling the dice and moving their marker around the virtual board. The dice are controlled by shaking the iPhone, though there doesn't seem to be any correlation between shaking the iPhone harder to make the dice move.
