On Wednesday, 27 July, CNET Australia held a drinks night with a focus on high-tech home entertainment. Readers were invited along to catch up with the CNET Australia team, and chat about the gear we have and the gear we hope we'll have one day.

The event was sponsored by Hills Antennas

The event, held at the Pyrmont Point Hotel, saw many theories shared on how best to spend big if you had the chance.

The night was sponsored by Hills Antennas, which sent one reader home with a new HD Intelligence 4x4 HDMI Matrix Switcher, as well as some consulting for getting their home-entertainment set-up in order.

Hills Antennas gave attendees a run down on why new antennas will improve your reception in the digital era, and also showed off an HDMI Matrix Switcher in action, so that people could see a high-end entertainment-distribution system up close and personal.
