The Padfone 2 has been officially launched in both Milan and Taipei. We have an official preview of the new device from Asus, and below are some images from the Taipei launch event, showing off the Padfone 2 and Padfone 2 Station.

Brief spec rundown:

  • OS: Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (upgradeable to Jelly Bean)

  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 quad-core Cortex A15 class (1.5GHz ) with Adreno 320 graphics

  • Display: 4.7-inch, 1280x720, Super IPS+ (Padfone 2); 10.1-inch 1280x800, WXGA (Padfone 2 Station)

  • Main camera: 13MP BSI sensor Sony Camera, f/2.4 aperture, autofocus with LED flash

  • Front camera: 1.2MP

  • Battery: 2140mAh (Padfone 2); 5000mAh (Padfone 2 Station)

  • Dimensions: 137.9x69x9mm

  • Weight: 135g, 649g when docked in the Station.

Both the Padfone 2 and the Padfone 2 Station were demonstrated on-stage at the Taipei launch event.
