Twitter has finally made it possible for users to download an archive of their tweets from when they started to use the service.
Previously, if you wanted to reminisce over that witty 140-character put-down, you had to either keep on file a direct link to your tweet, or scroll back through pages and pages through the web interface. Now, it's possible to download every witticism and retweet since your humble microblogging beginnings.
Under the Settings tab, a new option should be available at the bottom of the page that lets you request the archive. Twitter will then aggregate them all and email you once it is ready to download. The feature will be rolled out progressively to all users.
