Sorry, you are not old enough to view this content.

If you keep an eye on the latest trends in electronics, you've probably stumbled across the term "appcessory" already. We sneaked into our local Dick Smith (DSE) store after hours to see what appcessories we could get our hands on.

Toys, games and gadgets controlled by smartphones and tablets aren't necessarily that new. But the word on the street is that this category is starting to take off, and that a range of awesome new gadgets are on the way. Dick Smith's Matt Barry took some time to take us through some of the latest at DSE, including an oxymoronic spy tank from Brookstone, a couple of remote controlled sports cars and a baby monitor with a video feed viewable on an iPad.

The appcessories in the video are just the tip of the iceberg apparently, with DSE planning to stock the new Parrot AR Drone 2.0 and an updated spy tank in time for Father's Day. You can find the full range, with prices, on the Dick Smith website.
