Watch as birds tweet on Twitter
Move over, Angry Birds. Hungry birds take to Twitter to unleash their avian thoughts musings on the world.
We've seen a variety of creatures use Twitter, includingand , but check out this footage of real birds tweeting.
With that philosophy in mind, Dudums decided to give birds a voice -- on the Internet. The artist took a keyboard and replaced the keys with pieces of unsalted fat, then connected the calorie-filled input device to a computer set up on an outdoor post in Sarnate, Lativa.
As birds landed on the keyboard, their resulting pecks at the food were captured and sent off as tweets on the @hungry_birds Twitter account. Additionally, Dudumbs set up a Webcam nearby to detract naysayers, and it produced some pretty amusing footage of birds tweeting.
Sadly, most of the writing doesn't really make sense, but we did chuckle at one of the tweets that said "OOOOOMMMGGG" (as seen in the image above).
"We ended one of the greatest internet injustices of all time and gave Twitter back to the original twitterers, the birds," Dudums said of the project in a related blog post. The project took place last year and the birds have stopped tweeting (for now at least), but we just found out about them and thought their social-media efforts deserved a shout-out.
