Go retro style with your fire, and take it back to the days where we all sat around warming our hands over 8 bits.
We Australians do some weird things at Christmastime due to tradition: hot roast meals in the summer heat, strewing fake snow everywhere, cold-weather Santa suits, singing songs about "winter wonderlands". One thing we are generally not stupid enough to do is light an open fire (no, barbecues don't count; how else are we going to cook our prawns and steaks?).
However, we do seem to gravitate toward Christmas traditions geared for the northern hemisphere.
In order to get that white Christmas ambiance down, one can always load up an animated fire on a screen; and for that real, old-fashioned experience, we prefer to do it 8-bit style with Pixel Fireplace.
Pixel Fireplace is a cosy, type-controlled, big-pixelled application. Throw on fresh logs, roast marshmallows, discover more commands or just sit back and enjoy the warm, flickering pixels while the logs burn down in real time.
We feel wintery already.
