The honest ad your cable company will never make

Here's a satirical "ad" that aims to expose some of the inner thinking of your local cable company. Tagline: You won't like it and there's no other option.

I'd like to help you work out your frustrations today.

There again, you have so many -- at least judging by the comments section here -- that I don't really have enough time.

Instead, then, here's an ad -- thank you, Techdirt, for exposing it to me -- that will help you be at one with your feelings about your high-speed Internet and cable provider.

Sadly, it's not an ad made by a high-speed Internet and cable provider. It's a satire made by people who understand your frustrations. Which is why it includes of couple of less-than-polite words that you shouldn't often use in public.

Here we have an alleged spokesman for your high-speed Internet and cable provider telling it like it is.

Telling it like it is hasn't really been the modus operandi of your high-speed Internet and cable provider. Ever, really.

So, though you've experienced how it is on any number of occasions, the last people who will admit how it is work at your high-speed Internet and cable provider.

It would, of course, be heartening if your high-speed Internet and cable provider would be a little more open about its varying, sluggish speeds, the slightly lax training of its engineers, or the idea that prices seem to go up at every high-speed Internet and cable provider simultaneously by rather similar amounts.

But life isn't perfect. And neither is your high-speed Internet and cable provider.

This small work of art serves to remind you of that.

I hope it makes you feel better.
