During the weekend, the overlords at Apple's app headquarters approved Quickflix's new streaming video app, Quickflix WatchNow, for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

The new app allows subscribers of Quickflix's streaming video services to watch available TV series and movies, streamed directly to their iOS device.

The catalogue includes slightly older movies from Warner Brothers, Sony Pictures and NBC Universal, stretching from Hitchcock's North by Northwest through to Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. While on the TV side of things, there are a number of series from HBO, BBC and ITV available, including Blackadder, Spooks and Doctor Who.

Non-subscribers who download the app will be able to watch available movie trailers.
