LG Enact tipped as sliding QWERTY for Verizon

Rumored to arrive in short order, the LG smartphone features the now rarely used sliding QWERTY form factor.

Verizon may dial up the LG Enact as its next entry-level smartphone. evleaks

Smartphone keyboard fans could soon find what they're looking for if rumors of the LG Enact (VS890) QWERTY slider for Verizon pan out.

Alleged photos and rough details reportedly obtained by tipster @evleaks, point to a 4-inch display, 5-megapixel rear camera, and a five-row QWERTY keyboard.

Previous rumors peg the keyboarded phone with a 1.2Ghz dual-core processor, an Adreno 305 GPU, and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS. Reported to be "days away," the LG Enact is likely to feature entry-level memory and storage capacity.

It has been quite a while since Verizon, or any other carrier, has announced an Android device with a sliding QWERTY deigns; Big Red's last model was the Pantech Marauder .

Given the specs and less popular form factor, I would expect to see the LG Enact come in at $50 on contract.
