Have you ever thought to yourself, "Golly, I sure wish I could back some start-ups while waiting for this bus?" Well, now you no longer have to navigate the cumbersome experience of the Kickstarter website on your iPhone's browser.

The new app is clean and sleek, and very cleverly thought out for the mobile experience. There are three tabs: Discover, where you can scroll through a list of projects by staff picks, popularity, your own favourites and categories; Activity, which keeps you up-to-date with the projects you've backed; and your own profile, which is based on your Facebook log-in.

Admittedly, we were a little unconvinced about the need for a Kickstarter app, but it's really quite lovely. Browsing projects is very well done. You scroll down the page, which shows you a list of videos; tapping on one expands it so that you can watch the video, read the project description, check out the pricing tiers and back the project with just one or two taps.

For project creators, the app has even more potential value, meaning you can keep up-to-date with your backers from wherever you are, and track your project and posting updates on the go.

Mostly though, we're really impressed with the design. It's super-intuitive and smooth, with everything clearly labelled and responsive.

Give it a go and let us know what you think.
