Sculptor Steve Scotts has created an eerie facsimile of Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley from the original Alien film.

We're filled with admiration for the artist, who created this sculpture of Ripley out of silicon — it looks as though it's about to come to life. At the same time, it's a little bit creepy.

Scotts created the sculpture in order to pay homage to the Alien series, carefully reconstructing Ripley over the course of several months from photographs. Her teeth and eyes are made from acrylic, and synthetic hair has been added for her head, lashes and brows.

You can see more photos over on Scotts' post on BuzzFeed, or check out his Facebook page for his other sculptures. We'd just like to add that pre-hair Ripley looks very strange indeed.
