At the 2008 Detroit Auto Show, Cadillac capitalised on the critical acclaim for its second-gen CTS by showing off a coupe version.

When our colleagues in the US reviewed the second-gen Cadillac CTS sedan last year, they were so impressed they slapped an Editors' Choice sticker on its butt. This coupe design concept does away with the rear doors, stretches the front doors, and pulls the roof line all the way back to the trunk lip, creating a fastback look. In addition, it achieves more sporty lines by emphasising the connection between the A-pillar and the bonnet. Overall, the car represents an uncompromising demonstration of Cadillac's art and science design language.

Cadillac has positioned the CTS sedan as a sport-luxury car, with an emphasis on the sport component. In our US review, we found it to be a very able performer, making this Coupe Concept doubly attractive but Cadillac hasn't -- yet -- announced any plans to make a production version.
