I never had a Tamagotchi back in the day, so I was never really sure what all the fuss was about. Then along came Hatchi for iPhone. A-ha! I sez to Mabel. Now's my chance to find out! You know what? If Hatchi is meant to be like Tamagotchi, then I still don't understand it. You get an egg. You hatch the egg. Then you name and look after the creature that emerges — feeding, bathing, reading, playing a game and administering medicine as required. Every now and then it will refuse to have a bath or something, so you do something else. And then it evolves once, and you keep repeating ad infinitum. It's kind of samey and boring. There goes 99 cents I could have spent on Fruit Tingles...
