For would-be time travelers, a cautionary tale

Watch "Misadventure in Time," a cute little film that shows you should be careful when attempting the delicate art of time travel.

Have we learned nothing from The Doctor? If you're going to build a time machine, don't use it to go back on your own time stream. That's the lesson reinforced in "Misadventure in Time," an animated short from award-winning animator and illustrator Lee Daniels. In the short, the main character successfully builds a time machine and goes back 40 years to meet his younger, disco-obsessed self.

Of course, things don't exactly go the way he planned, and the result is tragic for our main character. The clip issues a strong warning to would-be time travelers. You can go anywhere in space and time, but for the love of god, never, ever try to meet your past or future self. It won't end well.
