Tip of the Day: do you need a lapdesk in your life?

Laptops were apparently made for laps, but where do you put the mouse?

Maybe you're typically stuck at a conference without a desk. Or maybe you're just watching TV while playing games on a laptop at home. The track pad is just fine for many purposes, but some tasks work much, much better with a mouse in your hand. Anyone who has given it a basic try will know that many chairs just aren't very good for rolling a mouse around.

Lots of companies sell special laptop pads that keep your legs protected from heat, but so far we've only spotted one that has a special pop-out tray so that you can put laptop on your lap and still mouse around too! Yes, you could go buy a bit of wood at the hardware store, or find a big book, or whatever. But the Logitech Lapdesk is quite an elegant solution. And it's AU$39.95.
