Scott has been with CNET since 1996. He was previously an executive editor of CNET News. Prior to joining CNET, he was the managing editor of TechWeek magazine and the business and technology editor for the Oakland Tribune, and he covered federal courts for the Dallas Times Herald.

Jason was hired as the "Mac guy" for CNET Download in 2000. Since then, Jason has branched out, writing the popular Killer Downloads column along with several features on both Mac and Windows. Jason now writes content for The Mac Minute blog, Power Downloader, and several other software-focused features on CNET Download.

Seth reviews downloadable software, from security programs and browser add-ons to the mad, mad world of MMORPGs. He also blogs occasionally, drawing on experiences as a life-long freeware fan, former Tokyo resident, world traveler, and photographer.

Getting his big shareware break in the heady days of the dot-com '90s, Mark spent the post-bubble years hustling for work until he landed a permanent gig at CNET Download in April 2005. As an associate producer, he scouts and reviews new products, and he produces features, newsletters, and online content.

After a decade as a freelance writer and editor--during which time he wrote travel books for Lonely Planet, edited nightlife guides for Zagat Survey, and authored an encyclopedic tome on country-and-western music (The Rough Guide to Country Music)--Kurt landed a full-time job at CNET, where he now serves as senior editor for CNET Download Music. Among other duties, he writes the weekly newsletter and hosts the CNET podcast Music Sessions From Studio C.

With an affinity for DIY-electronic groups of the '70s (Cabaret Voltaire, The Human League, Throbbing Gristle) Anngie has lived and breathed electronic music since the young age of 10, thanks to her much older siblings. The label relations manager for CNET Download Music, she's always enthusiastic when it comes to the world of music and anything geek.

After many late nights and early mornings on terrestrial radio, Peter discovered Internet radio in the late '90s. As an editor and producer for sites such as MP3.com and Real Networks, he has praised and critiqued billions of bands from all genres (billions is a ballpark figure).

As an associate producer of content acquisition, Mike "Nice" Tao contacts labels, writes reviews, and publishes content. He's also producer of the CNET podcast Music Sessions From Studio C. When he's not working, you might find him deejaying at a local nightclub or radio station in the San Francisco Bay Area when he's not running his street-marketing company, Word Life Promotions.
