  i clicked on the deskltop icon a pop up screen came up and told "Your VEGAS PRO TRIAL HAS EXPIRED." SO AFTER 40 OR SO MINS OF DOWNLOADIN AND SIGNING UP I DONT EVEN GET TO TRY IT. Im very upset and colud care less if this company dies off.

  After 20 mins of trying to download this crap I finally got it downloaded and strated the setup. After that had finsihed it had to sign with the company and i DID and then i clicked on the deskltop icon a pop up screen came up and told "Your VEGAS PRO TRIAL HAS EXPIRED."   Help needs work for NLE neophytes like myself, but to be fair this app probably isn't intended for those of my limited experience.

  Summary

  I have more experience with Adobe Premiere, but I'll be buying some version of Vegas. With P you have to add a dissolve to every clip. With Vegas you just drag and overlap the clips and Wah-Lah! I never did figure out how to delete the audio track and leave the video, but muted it didn't make any difference. The rendered files (I only had time to edit two simple 3 minute videos over 30 days due to unexpected events) seemed to maintain all the resolution of the raw HD footage. I suspect this is the best alternative to FCP for Win users. (Additional Con which would not fit: Revo Uninstaller did not detect the installation so I had to rely on Vegas to completely uninstall itself and lord only knows what it left behind.)

  I was so happy about downloading it and was about to install it, when it said the exe wasnt a valid win 32 app, then i noticed it was for 64 bit -.-. I am so mad! Grrrrr! :(

• Very powerful stuff

  Tons of features and capabilities. Can do pretty much anything anyone can ever want (other than making lunch for you :)

  Cons

  The interface is very crowded, extremely busy. One needs a huge screen or a powerful magnifying glass to find what is needed. Also, takes a lot if timne to learn.

  Summary

  A very comprehensive software to edit and finalize all kinds of movies and videos. Vrowded and not a user-friendly interface and requires a lot of studying to be able to use it.
