GZIP GNU ZIP A VRML file compression format similar to ZIP compression. In VRML 2.0, the scene graph file can be "GZIP'd," and the file will automatically decompress for rendering on the client machine. Compressed files reduce download time. See also: scene graph, VRML, ZIP
