  • That figure for Cypriots has to be wrong
Although it says in the article that Cypriots are the chatiest people in the EU the figure, 6 minuites per subscriber has to be wrong. I am a Cypriot and I can tell you that the minimum is more like 60 minuites and not just among young people.Check your numbers.

  • I know that
I know it has nothing to do with currency but I was just giving another example of how the FYROM is tring to change history and is making unsubstaciated claims for Greek territory and history. In reply to: "Macedonia picks Ubuntu for 20,000 PCs"

  • Because...
The rest of the world should care because leaving claims to the territoties of other countries unchalanged might concievably leed to another destructive war that the world would have to deal with IN THE MODERN AGE, not in ancient history. Hence the rest of the world should not stand silent while the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia tries to hijack Greek history by using the name Macedonia or using, as they did in the past, the Vergina Sun on thier flag. Adding to this arrgument is that unlike either Mexican or US claims on Texas California, Nevada and Utah, Greek claims on the symbols, history, territory and the name Macedonia go back into ancient history. The symbols, territory, history and the name Macedonia and have been Greek since recorded history started (territory, history)or since they have existed (name, symbols). The people living in the land that the FYROM is ultimatly tring to grab from Greece are GREEK, they speak Greek and feel Greek. As for the part of your comment about the Mexican-American war think of this: would it better if Mexico regained control over these territories with more than 60 million people whith a crushing majority of them feeling American? When the US took over thier were only 8000 families in the land it captured. In the case of the FYROM even this delima does not exist because it never controled the land it is claiming nor do the people living in it have any allegence to it. As for your comment on Iraq, you are completly off the subject of this post. The subject is that CNET should correct the name Macedonia when refering to the FYROM and stop offending its readers, something that should of have been done already. Again this is not just my opinion but the opinion of the global community as expressed by the United Nations http://www.un.org/News/Press/docs/2006/org1469.doc.htm#_edn16 In reply to: "Macedonia picks Ubuntu for 20,000 PCs"

  • Second note

  • Offending messages will be removed (says cnet when you want to talkback)
check out the United Nations web site. Look under the letter "T" http://www.un.org/News/Press/docs/2006/org1469.doc.htm#_edn16
There is the internationally recognized name of the the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. How would Americans feel if Japan issued a currency featureing Pearl Harbor? or if the British issued a note featuring New York City? or if the Russians issued a note featuring Alaska? How would the rest of the world feel? This state, The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia is trying to hijack Greek names (Macedonia),Greek symbols (the Vergina Sun),Greek history (Alexander the Great)and and in so doing claim righs to the Greek Territory of Macedonia. They tried to issue currency featuring The White Tower in the Greek second city of Thessaloniki which they want as the capital of thier enlarged state.CNET should correct this mistake and apologize to it's readers In reply to: "Macedonia picks Ubuntu for 20,000 PCs"
