• Lulu and iuniverse seem to be the more popular choices for self publishing but I don't like their shopping cart feel. Publishing shouldn't be an 'add to the cart' kind of thing. It's a process that takes time and meticulos editing both in the manuscript and in the layout of the book. I've worked with James and Brookfield Publishers (http://www.jamesandbrookfield.com) and received a high quality, bookstore ready book. I've talked with some people who have gone the route of publishing their work through one of these quickie POD sites and were not happy with the end results. They found too many errors in their finished product and were frustrated with these big websites rushing them in and out. I'm glad I went the route I went.
