I think what John Wood is doing is tremendous. However, it's important to understand that domestic violence crosses all socio-economic boundaries. Improved educational opportunities won't reduce the incidence of domesitc violence. I grew up in an upper middle class home, and am a graduate of law school. I still found myself in an abusive marriage. Please don't stop supporting domestic violence programs in favor of education programs. If you can, support them both.
