- I think purchasing a TV refurbished is fine just as long as you trust the retailer. I've had good experience with http://quickshipwarehouse.com/. You can save hundreds of dollars and the TV's are in brand new condition. The TV I ordered had a faulty IR port after a few days, but I returned it with the 90 days and they happily sent me a new TV. Just make sure you save the box for a while until you're certain the TV works correctly.

- Silk definitely introduces more problems than it solves and leads me to believe Amazon tablets will be under powered. If Fire can't handle web content on its own then I guess gaming is out of the picture also. The whole point of the web is that it is decentralized. This just ruins the web. It is also going to be extremely hard to manage on Amazon's part of figuring out what to cache and what not too.
I give this a year and they'll figure out how much of a headache this will be and shut it off. Unless of course they don't care about the end experience and just want to collect user data.In reply to: "Amazon Silk: One step forward, two steps back"
