Mr. Schmidt,
I use Google Calendar everyday for my business. I love it (I have personally referred 6 people who have signed up within the past month alone). This is what keeps not just business owners and professionals on track every day, but it also is an important tool for everybody (the busy housewife, etc). Do you have significant plans to further its' development? Right now, I have signed up with a 3rd party task list online company along with a Google account, all of which is running on a premium calendar/task program I paid for on the Iphone. I would love to see a Google Iphone app integrating the calendar along with a task list. Are there any plans for this?

If Verizon gets the iphone before my new 2-year contract is up, AT&T will lose money on me. I would happily pay the $200 cancellation fee, sell my mint iphone 3GS on ebay for $200-$300 and buy the latest model through Verizon, subsidized for $199, and come out on top with the nations best network all for the cost of the latest model that I would have bought anyway. Actually, Vegaman_Dan, Apple did honor their warranty with me as I had this very issue with my battery. I took it to an Apple store, they hooked my iphone up to one of their macbook pro's and ran special software diagnosing and confirming the battery drain problem. They then replaced it for me on the spot.
You must have thought this article was about the Zune.

That literally made me LOL. 45% means you will never own an iphone. In reply to: "Is AT&T losing its grip on the iPhone?"

You guys have it all wrong. Verizon doesn't have the upper hand. They aren't Apple's parent company. If Verizon wants to grow even more (as all companies want to do) then they would be wise to allow Apple to partner up with them.
I see it more as both companies don't "need" each other, but they would both be better off financially if they had each other. I don't see either with an advantage, but both would be profiting greatly from the deal.
Its a simple case of win/win/win for Apple, Verizon, & the consumer.
Having said all of that, I realize that one of the companies might have some ridiculous rules due to greed that the other company might cede to, we'll have to wait and see. Or, everything may just be smooth for everyone.

Why is it that every single liberal I've ever heard say anything, always gets off topic, changes the subject, and uses flawed reciprocal reasoning such as amadensor.
But, since you brought up the topic, I'll briefly comment...
No conservative, or republican for that matter, has ever said anything about "neutralizing" liberal media outlets, whether its online blogs, abc, cbs, nbc, msnbc, or cnn. Why is it that when liberals are disagreed with, the first thing they do is attack the person whom disagrees with their ideology. For example, Joe the plumber, they said he didn't have a liscense to be contracted plumber. Okay, that just means he couldn't own his own plumbing company, that didn't invalidate his plumbing skills for working for a plumbing company.
I believe that the republicans including some centrists, and undecided voters are waking up to liberal scare tactics, and the 2010 elections are going to be proof of this great awakening.

I agree. All critical infrastructures should be on an intranet just like the DoD's critical information is on an intranet only (not at all connected to the public internet).
I would rather the government get good at what they were created to do in the first place, any one know what that was? One of the reasons the government was created was to protect its citizens from foreign invaders. One way (among many ways) to protect on this front is to secure our borders.
"We must protect our critical infrastructure at all costs--from our water to our electricity, to banking, traffic lights and electronic health records," Rockefeller said.
Again, as RickMK stated, get the critical infrastructures of the internet. Why does access to our water, electricity, traffic lights, need to be on a global world wide web at all? They don't! The obvious answer is to put them on their own intranet with no outside (foreign, oversees) access.
The real problem here is that our lawmakers are really pushing to weaken America's infrastructure with proposed bills such as this, thereby creating a socialistic (or worse fascist) global economy.
