Haha. I just have to laugh.
Really from a competitive stand point though, AMD still wins on performance for the price. Unless Intel is finally putting some downward pressure on prices, AMD's chips, while not as fast as the fastest of Intel's, are considerably cheaper.
Unless Intel comes waay down in price, or so amazingly tramples AMD in performance, I'm not interested.

As an AdSense publisher, I'm thrilled about this. Revenue dropped pretty harshly (read cut to 1/4th) after they restricted trademarks. I'm hoping bidding will become more competitive for keywords, leading me to make some cashola. :)
Hurrah money.

I doubt we'll see any private utilities in my part of PA rolling out fiber optics. We're moderately well served by private entities, especially with FiOS no more than 20-30 miles away, and planned eventually. In reply to: "Lafayette, La., finally gets its fiber network"

I'd kill to see what this could do with Windows Mobile 6.1 and TouchFlo 3D from HTC. The Touch Diamond isn't exactly a wimpy phone. In reply to: "Nvidia-based Microsoft smartphone coming?"

Shame about Kevin's other company Pownce (started with Leah Culver). They were bought and either closed or are closing the site soon. In reply to: "Report: Digg still mining for profits"

Damn shame really. Pownce was an excellent site. Additionally Leah Culver managed to write a VERY strong back end for the site, so issues were pretty rare. In reply to: "Pownce to shut down after Six Apart sale"

Verizon back on top.
Remember how it took the merger of the numbers 2 and 3 carriers to just BARELY top Verizon's subscriber count? Yeh. That's pretty impressive.

Very interesting. It seems like the past year or so has seen HTC thrown into the spotlight by a few of the major carriers. Sprint has a huge lineup of HTC branded phones, and Verizon sells many of them to, albeit under their own name. It's for a good reason too. They're all great phones.
It also doesn't hurt that they're one of the few handset makers who make CDMA phones, and not just as a port of a GSM phone :)

I'm really hoping that Verizon gets onboard with this. Sure the Dare has a nice interface, but lets face it. That phone won't ever see any updates or 3rd party software that isn't through VCast. Windows Mobile is the only standalone OS offered by Verizon, and it's a shame. In reply to: "Report: Motorola expanding Android team"
