  So I bought a 3G and have 5A435 that crashes and automatically resets quite frequently. Would you recommend upgrading to 5A437 based on your experience? I can't tell since you sited both firmwares in your response as "5A437"... In reply to: "Restore and update your iPhone 3G to squash bugs"

• Okay...the complaints that compare EDGE and 3G signal strength are invalid. It's different technology. I've also been told (by an AT&T rep, for what its worth) that the iPhone 3G is designed to receive its cellular signal from the nearest tower to you, whether it be 3G or EDGE technology. That said, I've had a few of these problems myself, specifically in my house. Turning off 3G seems to fix this but who wants to turn off a service that they pay an extra 15 dollars per month for?
  
  I'm also having a lot of trouble with my wifi connection, especially in comparison with my old iPhone...any suggestions on that front? In reply to: "iPhone 3G signal and reception complaints pour in"
