This is to "get_heard":
What does "being a soldier" have to do with being disheartened? Is he somehow "more disheartened" than someone in a different profession? Perhaps "being a soldier", he isn't capable of understanding normal consumer electronics, maybe that's what he meant?
I have every respect for people in the armed forces. I would not want to be fighting the wars we're fighting now, and I would find THAT very disheartening. That said, they're people doing a job that they applied for. There are MANY MANY other people doing dangerous and thankless work (teachers, law-enforcement, hospital volunteers, etc.) that I'm sure you wouldn't lecture people about.
In short, a person's profession has no bearing on the validity of their comments... and blind chest-pounding is silly.

I have 3 Tivo HDs and two Xbox 360s, and I will not be using the Xbox 360 for Netflix playback.
Why?
Because I'd either have to:
1. Put my profile on a memory card and move it between the 360s when I wanted to watch Netflix.
2. Restore my profile over the network (which I've seen take 30 minutes) when I want to move my Netflix watching between rooms.
3. Buy multiple Xbox Live Gold accounts to cover every friggin' room where I wanted this to work.
As far as I'm concerned, however lovely the implementation, this effectively renders the service useless to me. I was SOOOO happy to see the Tivo announcement last week. I would starting to contemplate buying Roku boxes for all my TVs.
Too bad Sony didn't snap this up for the PS3.
Grumble.
