Waiting for a $50 price cut doesn't really make sense. At $100 dollars it does. (I'm based in the UK so we pay higher for everything anyway)
When one consisers the cost of an HDTV ,the display of which makes the jump to next gen truly worthwhile, plus the cost of a game(s) and other peripherals, $50 acounts for about 5% or less of the total setup. For a gamer, that is not enough of a percentage to put one off making the purchase, even if it does mean tightening the belt for the month.
