Why would anyone spend any money on HD-DVD? It is clearly loosing the battle with Blu-ray. Once the studios that support HD-DVD end their contracts they will certainly jump on Blu-ray, and its only a matter of time before that happens. The very best thing you could do is get a dual format player supporting both formats.
