  • Who is keeping apple from rejecting the app? They are ones saying they did not and dragging it out by lying out about it. In reply to: "Google vs. Apple: Who's telling the truth?"

  • > iPod Touch is the best-sounding MP3 player I've ever heard

It may sound better than the Zune but with the above statement you simply have not heard any other players or you have no understanding of what you are hearing. Among audiophiles the iPod is generally considered among the worst sounding devices available particulary up against Sony and iRiver offerings. You definetly on your own here which calls into question your other observations. (ex; Gizmodo thought the browser was great.) In reply to: "iPod Touch excels in sound quality"

  • I think it is laughable that you believe MS would get anywhere offering information on the underpinnings. First of all All Things D is no deeper tech wise than any other conference. You might make yourself feel good thinking that but as evidenced by the "swag rocks!" post right before this one, it sure isn't true. Secondly, the tech writing on Vista has been almost uniformly terrible. Where are your articles on the changes to the multitasking engine, the security, the device drivers and the network stack made in Vista? There are more changes to the "underpinnings" in Vista then you will ever read about in a blog post. At least on this site. Why hold MS to a standard you aren't capable of supporting yourself? • Someone who is supposed to be writing about open source is advocating the most closed platform of all? Truly amazing. Macs are fine but someone else should have this job. In reply to: "A sign of Macs to come"

  • Huh?
Actually there is a place for geotagging info in photo metadata and the nice thing about MS is that they actually write the metadata to the file. Both Apple and Adobe, by default anyway, just write such info to their various app's databases not to the actual file. That blows. In reply to: "Microsoft hopes new photo tool will boost Windows"

  • Prediction: the response video will have something really hilarious like a BSD! Or maybe it be really clever and an MS BOB screenshot! Man that stuff never gets old. In reply to: "Lenovo takes a page from the Steve Jobs playbook"

  • >ditching the iTunes media store just made the company look greedy.

Only to clueless, Apple-mad bloggers. If they really only made $15 M from being 40% of the video downloads they had a right to complain. They are literally holding up the video end of iTunes and getting ass for it. Don't think they were worth that much? Then, I wonder, why is Apple rumored to be cutting deals with movie studios it wasn't wiling to make before? Besides, I've had a peek at Hulu and, while some there are kinks, they might actually pull it off and once the get cross platform stuff right you won't have to be tied to a specific app or company besides the ones providing the content. Besides, there are free episodes of some shows online now. How is it greedy to provide something for free that Apple was charging for? In reply to: "Hits and misses 2.0(07)"
