Think of all the problems this would solve. No more boring meetings! Free pass to the diamond lane. Sure honey I'll go shopping with you while I miss the game. Built in excuse "I'm sorry that wasn't me that said that. It was my android clone". Opposed to a real clone, there would be too many ethical issues if you needed to.....ummmm......'terminate' a rouge android clone. I wonder how much extra the eye roll facial expression goes for? This has class action written all over it. But like all class action suits the members of the class will get a nominal sum while the attorneys rake in tens of millions. In reply to: "Congress probes Visa, AmEx role in Web scam"

Maybe Best Buy did them a favor considering that 1 in 3 laptops fail in 3 years. HP being one of the more egregious offenders: http://www.squaretrade.com/htm/pdf/SquareTrade_laptop_reliability_1109.pdf In reply to: "Best Buy's little Black Friday the 13th"

Well DUH!!! I could have told you that. What kind of marketing geniuses do they have at Microsoft? These people get paid how much? Seriously, what are they doing in their marketing department there? The Family Guy debacle, Windows 7 "tupperware" parties, Mojave, the Seinfeld train wreak, the list goes on and on. The only non-miss were the Laptop Hunter commercials, and those were rife with half-truths (on the other side of the coin so are Apple's commercials). OMG! If I were the share holders I would be asking for some heads. In reply to: "Microsoft pulls plug on 'Family Guy' special"

I have a fully specced MacBook Pro 17" that has been running Snow Leopard just fine since day one. I also have a Mac Pro for that matter that has Snow Leopard. Yet zero kernel panics.....ever. In fact, I have not had ONE kernel panic in the 4 Macs I've owned. Look, I think you should take your Mac back to the local Apple store and ask what is up. Because a new MBP should not have kernel panics. In reply to: "If Windows 7 doesn't work, it's your fault"

Please anyone explain how 7 is anything more than a streamlined version of Vista. They might have well called it Mojave because in using Win 7 as a beta, it's mostly the same thing as Vista. I'd also like to point out that most magazine reviewers are saying the same thing. Is it REALLY that different from Vista....errr.....Mojave? BTW, did you ever stop to think how it was so easy for Redmond to ramp up Win 7? Notice how there were no delays this time? Not unlike Vista. Well that's because Win 7 IS Vista with all the bugs and driver issues worked out. LOL....MS continues to did a hole.....Win 7 is not innovation. Ummmm.....you of course realize that Apple produces the Mac Pro and 30" Cinema Display right? For creative professionals bigger is better. But then again the computer for me is a tool and not an accessory or toy. It's as if BMW made a Diesel Dually.
BTW, my personal experience with Snow Leopard was smooth on a my Mac Pro and MacBook Pro. I actually think that they had most of this Cocoa code in the bag for awhile. Anyone else notice that it never went public beta? It really should have been released with Leopard, but I think it was too early for them to drop support of PPC. Consequently, this is why it cost only $29.00 and had little UI improvements--although it really should have been free. Leopard was the eye candy of the release and the Snow Leopard the coding guts.

@badasscat For $100 you are not getting a GPS that plays music, stores photos, and fits in your pocket. Those units go for well over $200. Also should point out that the software for the iPhone has TomTom IQ which is only available on TomTom's pricier models. In reply to: "TomTom $99 GPS app heads to iPhone"
