• For those of us who like full frame and wide angle, the 50D holds nothing. My existing 5D is 12.1MP v the 50D at 15MP. These two cameras are in completely different classes. I don't think that there are many people who would weigh the two against each other. One is Full Frame, the other is APS-C. Totally different, and there can be no real comparison between the two. That being said, I'll probably get the 5D Mark II as soon as it becomes available.
  
  There are also rumors circulating that the 24-70 F2.8/L lens will be upgraded with better glass (it's hard to get much better than what it has now) and will include IS. If that is true, it looks like I'll be getting a new lens also. In reply to: "Canon posts teaser ad for new dSLR--most likely the EOS 5D Mark II"
