My comments

  • Hey Chris, can you please help me understand the big privacy risk here? I am not being facetious, but I really don't get the issue. If a cookie is set on my machine to track if I have been to the site using this same computer, why is that worrisome? Log files already have my IP address--and information about my geolocation, my browser, my screen resolution, where I was before I came to the site, and if I used a search engine what i was searching for. So the big fear about adding the fact that I am a return visitor is what?

Forgive my ignorance or naivete, but I think that this cookie prohibition/worry is overblown. How am I wrong?
    Thanks,

  • Why are people so wrapped up? It's not like you watch the state of the union address on NBC or CNBC or CNN or CBS and not get commercials before or after. It's not like they don't include a network bug on the page. What is more important, getting the message to the people where they are? or crazy rules that separate government information from the people?

What's the choice? In reply to: "Why Obama should ditch YouTube"
