  • I downloaded it yesterday at about 8:30 am and it was installed and completely awesome by 9 am. No problems at all. In reply to: "Apple iPhone v2.0 software on Saturday: Still M.I.A."

  • I particularly liked this feature when it was released under the name 'smart folders' as part of Mac OS X back in 2005. In reply to: "Find the files you're looking for by using virtual folders"

  • 3rd Worlders aren't exactly Apple's target audience
Obviously this computer isn't designed to compete with laptops in
    the $100-$200 range...and I imagine that Apple's flash-based
notebook will probably outperform the OLPC XO. In reply to: "CNBC jumps on Mac ultraportable bandwagon"

  • Very few problems with Leopard here
I HAVE had exactly four instances of my computer freezing in
two days (which is three more than I've had in the last two
years), but I suspect this is due to DivX. Which, if I recall
correctly, also gave me problems when I switched to Tiger. I'm
still waiting for another freeze to see if that's actually the
    problem.

After using Leopard since Friday, Tiger feels like OS 9 to me
now. I still have Tiger on my PowerBook and it feels weird to
use. I'm eager to install Leopard on it as well.

There are some things I miss about Tiger though, no doubt (just
like there things I missed about OS 9 when I switched to OS X):
not being able to set a custom icon for my stacks on the dock is
killing me! I don't want to look at a jumble of icons on my dock,
I want my custom dock folders back. I'd also like to be able to
choose a list view (a la Tiger's dock folders) in addition to fan or
    grid.

Overall I'm very pleased with Leopard. But there'll be no
complaints from me when 10.5.1 hits. In reply to: "Resisting Leopardphobia"

  • Ya mean 1997?
    Nintendo 64...rumble pak...Starfox 64...1997. Micro$oft isn't very
innovative, either. In reply to: "PS3 controller is ready to rumble"

  • That's odd, I don't FEEL like a chump...
It was worth $600 and the wait in line the day I got it, it's STILL
worth it. If I get a $100 in addition to the phone that's awesome
for me. If someone pays $400 for the same phone I got for $600,
awesome for them. I don't feel ripped off and I'm definitely not a
chump. In reply to: "Weekend frenzy led to 1 million iPhones sold?"

  • Off subject but...
I'm currently enlisted and I care about freedom...which is why I'm
leaving the military. :) I love my iPhone but I'm basically
indifferent to AT&T. EDGE is sooooo-o-o-o slooooooooo-o-o-w. In reply to: "Unlocking an iPhone for real"

  • Not a single problem with mine...
...except for how painfully slow EDGE is. The iPhone is the first
phone I've had that I actually like. In reply to: "List of iPhone bugs finds few roaches"
