  • BUT GOOGLE PA YS MOZILLA FOR THIS RIGHT
MS DOESN'T HAVE TO PAY ANYONE, IN FACT THIS IS A ISSUE BECAUSE MS HAS THE BROWSER THAT COMES DEFAULT WITH THE OS, THEREFORE THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAVE UNFAIR ADVANTAGE WHICH THIS CLEARLY IS, IF PEOPLE WANT TO USE LIVE SEARCH THEN FINE, BUT IF THEY DON'T WHY SHOULD MS SHOVE IT DOWN THEIR THROAT.

  • yeah
You know, I can't agree with you less. MS is not a excellent company. They were in the right place at the right time. They have gone out of their way to compete, as you put it in the most illega, unfair way. It is because of these illegal tactics they have been such a success. IE would not have won the browser war so easily had it not been bolted to the OS. It is a horrible browser, with the biggest security nightmare in history. The company is always slow to market, it can't keep a schedule. It is always trying to pry into new markets it hasn't "lead" yet. Why don't they invest money and time into their current products. Why do they have to compete with Google, I mean what are they thinking. Obvoiusly the investors are thinking the same thing, the second they heard that the stock droped the most in 5 years. They have enough money to do anything they want so, let them do it.

  • yeah right
Screw that man, you can build a data center in a week with the kind of money they have. Finding a site maybe take a min building the room with climate control and ups/power generators and getting all the equipment installed cables ran isp up. yeah it might take a little bit, but not years or months even. I would say 60 days would be more then enough time to get a 300 server data center up, with the kind of money they are raking in I would say that's doable. Now hiring training personnel that know how the game needs to be setup on the servers tweaking everything yeah OK maybe not over night.

  • not for profit vs, for profit
Ok lets put it this way, your web browser is being paid for by every user. It comes with the operating system over 90 percent of all computers users are provided with. How can you compare that to a web browser that was picked up out of the grave and was brought back from the dead, and is now the most innovative fastest growing browser on the net, is constantly being updated and is coming out constantly with new innovative features. I don't think we can say that about IE that MS left for dead, because they won the browser war that was hardly a fair fight to begin with. Let's also not forget to mention the developers for IE and Windows most likely make over 6 figures a year. Now does it sound like they are doing their job? I think not. So let's just put it that way.
